Patient Services Supervisor – £25,967 to £27,727 per annum (dependent on experience)
Full time 37.5 hours per week.
London (N4)

A Patient Services Supervisor is required for a GP surgery in London (N4) area. The Patient Services Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a busy reception team; ensuring services are delivered in accordance with practice procedures and protocols and within required time-scales.

Applicants will need proven supervisory experience (within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential), excellent communication/interpersonal and IT/administrative skills and have the ability to work flexibly as part of a team whilst managing their own workload. Accuracy and attention to detail are also essential requirements as is the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a busy environment. Experience of using a patient based clinical system, for example EMIS Web, would be desirable however full training will be provided.

Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all front line patient services.
– Coordinate the patient services team’s workload and ensuring all work is completed within required timescales.
– Responsible for dealing with front line patient issues, concerns and complaints and for ensuring these are escalated to the Practice Manager as appropriate.
– Monitor the practice email account and taking appropriate action as required.
– Responsible for providing day-to-day support to staff and ensuring individual training and development needs are identified and met.
– Attend practice and other related meetings contracted hours when necessary.
